E-Verify is a web-based system operated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) which enables an employer to verify employment eligibility of new hires using information reported on an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to determine eligibility of that employee to work in the United States.
