Allison has spent her more than 25-year pharmaceutical career introducing innovative therapies that bring relief to patients and offer hope for a different future. Underlying Allison's professional success is her belief that “every moment is an opportunity to make an impact”. She has an entrepreneurial spirit that drives high employee engagement to inspire Otsuka people in their dedication to the patient experience. She maintains her drive and enthusiasm by putting patients first and respecting Otsuka’s long-term focus on creating products that positively change people’s lives.
Allison’s experience in clinical research, marketing, sales, operations, and business development coalesces in her current position as head of the US Neuroscience Sales and Marketing team. Allison is responsible for leading, developing and executing effective commercial strategies for Otsuka’s US business with an organization of close to 1,000 people and sales nearing $1.5B.
Prior to joining Otsuka U.S., Allison was General Manager of Otsuka Canada for eight years, building all aspects of Otsuka’s Canadian operations, linking internal and external stakeholders, managing the company’s functional areas including market access, legal adherence and industry compliance. Allison has led the early asset and development team for Otsuka Global Marketing since 2017. She sat on the Board of Directors of Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Innovative Medicines Canada) for five years, serving as both Treasurer and Chair of the Pricing Committee during her tenure.
During 18 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada, Allison held positions of increasing responsibility, achieving consistent and positive business results by growing brands beyond objectives, excelling in sales and coaching diverse functions.
Allison has a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Anatomical Sciences and a Master of Sciences degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology, both from McGill University of Montreal.
